The Buyer’s Guide: How to Bid & Buy
Your roadmap to successful bidding at Watts & Associates.
Buying at auction is an exciting way to source plant, machinery, and commercial vehicles at trade prices. To ensure a smooth experience, please follow our step-by-step guide below.
1. Register to Bid
All our auctions are held online via i-bidder.com or bidspotter.co.uk.
Create Your Account: Visit our Auction Portal and register your details.
- Once your online account is created, you will need to register for an auction. Your account will then show as “pending”.
In order for your account to be approved, you will need to email some proof of ID (driving license or passport) and proof of address (utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months) to info@wattsauctions.co.uk – once you have done this, you will then need to call our office on 01226 247591 for approval.
There are some important things to remember before you bid:
This is a trade auction, and a multi-vendor sale, which means we cannot offer ANY guarantee or warranty on any item. The catalogue description is a guide only. If you cannot make one of our viewing days to inspect and try an item, assume it does not work and is for sale for spares only – there is more detail in the Terms and Conditions, which must be agreed to before you bid.
Payment will be expected by the close of business on the Friday following the sale.
Items are to be collected by close of business the following Friday (2 weeks).
We urge all prospective buyers to read and understand our full Terms & Conditions.
