Your Guide to Buying with Watts & Associates
In order to bid in a Watts & Associates auction, the first step is to create an account online (this needs to be done even if you have an existing account with us from the live sales) by clicking ‘create account’ when you have found the current auction.
Once your online account is created, you will still need to ‘register’ before each and every sale so that you can be assigned a unique bidder number for that particular sale.
To create your account, the system will ask for contact and card details, and if you are VAT registered, having that handy will certainly make the process smooth too! No money is taken, but your card details will be independently checked for validity. After this, your account will be manually approved by W&A staff by the start of the sale; we may call you to check the details provided, and you can call us to check up on your approval – 01226 247 591.
There are some important things to remember before you bid though:
- This is a trade auction, and a multi-vendor sale, which means we cannot offer ANY guarantee or warranty on any item. The catalogue description is a guide only. If you cannot make one of our viewing days to inspect and try an item, assume it does not work and is for sale for spares only – there is more detail in the terms and conditions here, which must be agreed to before you bid: Terms & Conditions
- Payment will be expected by the close of business on the Friday following the sale
- Items are to be collected by close of business the following Friday (2 weeks)
